Prof. Dr. Nataliia Pipchenko

Prof. Dr. Nataliia Pipchenko is Dr of Sc. (Political Sciences) and Professor of the Educational and Scientific Institute of International Relations at Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv. Since 2019 she has been on the project staff of the Institute’s Jean Monnet Centre of Excellence project “Advancing European Studies in Ukraine: Interdisciplinary Approach,” a project of the EU Erasmus+ European integration studies initiatives. Since 2017 Prof. Pipchenko has also served as a communications consultant for the GUAM Organization for Democracy and Economic Development (Azerbaijan, Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine). Her research interests cover the issues of public and digital diplomacy, international communication and global development, and the activity of the EU Institutions in communications. She is author of nearly 100 academic articles and books.

Her current research project at LMU Munich examines changes in the EU’s suite of foreign policy communication tools; the practice of Germany and Ukraine’s foreign policy communications; and detecting the impact of destructive communications on the image of the EU, Germany, and Ukraine in the international information space.
