Anna Umanska, M.A., is a Ph.D. student at the Department of Foreign Sources in the History of Ukraine at M.S. Hrushevsky Institute of Ukrainian Archeography and Source Studies at the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine.
She received a Master of History of National University of “Kyiv-Mohyla Academy” and is a Junior Researcher at the Center for Studies of History and Culture of East European Jewry (Kyiv). Anna Umanska authored articles on Yiddish education and publishing activities at the period of Ukrainian People's Republic and Early Soviet period.
At LMU Munich, she focues on her PhD Project "Kultur-Lige as the phenomenon of Jewish cultural and educational activities in Kyiv in the period of 1918-1930."
